Embarking On The OSCP

Hi, David here. It’s been too long!
At the start of February, I officially started full time as a Penetration Tester. The job is great, and I’m enjoying it… but I’m not fully IMMERSED yet.
Why is that? Well, I’ve been continuing with AI Security projects on the side. I think AI Security is very important, and there’s definitely room to make a lot of money. BUT, I want to focus back on becoming an Offensive Security expert.
All the other guys at my company are brilliant. All of them have the OSCP, several years of professional experience, and deep knowledge of exploitation. My goal this year is to become the best pentester in my company. Will I be able to surpass them? Who knows, but I have to try.
Starting from TODAY, my main focus is improving. No more project distractions. It’s time to go DEEP.
My company has provided me with a FREE OSCP license for the next 3 months! What a blessing. This is nearly a $2k usd certification; I always wanted it, but I could never afford to purchase it. And while OSCP is by no means the be all end all of pentesting, it’s a really strong start.
Over the weeks, my notes will be published to this blog, making it an enriching resource for anyone else with the same dream as me.
I can’t wait. Let’s get to work.
